What is Charlie Haas’s Net Worth?

Charlie Haas has a net worth of $2 million. His fortune was built primarily through a multi-decade career as a professional wrestler, most notably through contracts with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Haas’s main income derived from his tenure with WWE during the company’s “Ruthless Aggression” era. As a prominent member of the tag team division, his salary was supplemented by merchandise sales and pay-per-view bonuses. After his WWE career, Haas continued to earn a significant income by competing in other major promotions, including Ring of Honor (ROH) and Impact Wrestling. He also remains an active figure on the independent wrestling circuit, generating revenue from appearances and matches.

Early Life

Charlie Haas was born in Houston, Texas. He and his brother, Russ Haas, were exceptional amateur wrestlers in high school. His skill earned him a wrestling scholarship to Seton Hall University, where he became a two-time Big East Champion. After graduating with a degree in economics and business, Haas began a career as a stockbroker with Goldman Sachs before deciding to transition into professional wrestling.

Career

Charlie Haas began his professional wrestling career in 1996, training with “Iron” Mike Sharpe. He and his brother Russ formed a successful tag team, The Haas Brothers, winning championships in independent promotions like Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW) and Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW). Their success led to a developmental contract with the WWF (later WWE) in 2000, and they were assigned to territories like Memphis Championship Wrestling (MCW). After his brother Russ passed away from a heart attack in 2001, Haas continued as a singles competitor.

Haas was called up to the main WWE roster in 2002, debuting on SmackDown! alongside Shelton Benjamin as part of Kurt Angle’s “Team Angle.” The duo quickly won the WWE Tag Team Championship. They eventually split from Angle and rebranded themselves as “The World’s Greatest Tag Team,” winning the titles a second time. Haas captured the tag team championship for a third time with his new partner, Rico. He was released from his contract in 2005.

Haas returned to WWE in 2006, reforming his partnership with Shelton Benjamin. After that team was split, Haas developed a popular gimmick where he impersonated other WWE superstars and Hall of Famers, such as “The GlamaHaas.” He was released by WWE for a second time in 2010. Following this, he and Benjamin reunited in Ring of Honor (ROH), where they won the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Haas has since wrestled for various promotions, including a brief run in Impact Wrestling in 2022, and continues to compete on the independent scene.

Personal Life

Charlie Haas married fellow WWE wrestler Jackie Gayda in 2005. The couple has four children together. In December 2020, Haas announced that they were divorced. In 2022, he married Jennifer Haas.
